Show STATE HEALTH REPORT For the week ending July 7, local health officers reported 2 cases of Rocky Mountain spotted spott-ed fever from Cedar City and one case of this disease from Utah County. The case in Utah county resulted fatally the patient was ill only 9 days with the disease. Salt Lake City reported 3 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis. A total of 6 cases of rheumatic rheu-matic fever for the week. The total number of communicable communi-cable diseases for the week was. 227 the smallest numoer to be reported for any week in 1944. Twelve cases of malaria fever fev-er were reported from Army hospitals. It is encouraging to note that no cases of poliomyelitis nor typhoid fever were reported. The report indicates that the health of the citizens is excep tionally good. The totals for the week were as follows: chickenpox 44, measles meas-les 30; German measles 8; Rocky Mountain spotted fever 3; scarlet scar-let fever 15; tuberculosis 3; mumps 37; whooping cough 62 gonorrhea 15; syphilis IS; malaria malar-ia fever 12 and rheumatic fever fev-er 6. No diseases were reported from Beaver, Duchesne, Iron Rich, Uintah Wasojtch and Sevier Se-vier Counties. |
