Show Teams Face Showdown in Westminster Junior Hoop Circuit Saturday's games went along i as expected in the Westminster Junior basketball league, but the schedule of February 1st finds four top teams facing each other. In the senior division Sperry Seniors Sen-iors and Andrus Livestock will tangle for an undisputed lead while Granite Furniture and Highland Park will meet to see who stays on top in the junior bracket. Sperry Juniors and Harry's Garage are the other top teams of the lower division but should not have any difficulty with their games. Dodgers Turn Back Monarchs 10-8 The lowest score game of the season found the Dodgers barely pulling through a victory over the fighting Monarchs. Dee Woolley of the Monarchs made a field goal seconds after the final whistle blew and this might have meant a victory for the Monarchs. Sperry Juniors hit their stride again and defeated Parleys with a score of about 24-16. The score sheet for this game mysteriously disappeared and so it is difficult to make any comments on the game. Granite Furniture Defeats Wasatch 23-12 Wasatch was a slight favorite in this tilt, but the Furniture clan surprised everyone with their second half defensive stand a-gainst a-gainst the larger Wasatch team. The score at the half was 8-8 but Wasatch scored only four points during the last half to Granite's 14. Merrill Davis was high man with 7 points, Dick Pettey, and Carl Paulson came through with 4 points each. Mulvay with 7 was high man for the losers. Highland Pa,rk showed plenty of power in tripping Bryan Juniors Jun-iors 30-10. Cornwall rang up a total of 13 points to lead the winners while Johnston clicked for 8 points for Bryan. In the final junior tilt, Harry's Garage almost blanked Southeast with a 20-2 score. Glenn Dodge again walked off with scoring honors with 12 counters. Wayne Bringhurst connected for 5 points. Sperry Seniors Still Tops Senior Division Sperry Seniors displayed plenty of class in defeating Aposhian Garage 32-9. The losers have a fine ball club but couldn't take the precision of the Sperry five. Smith, Lindley, and Haymore a-gain a-gain walked off with scoring honors. The Sperry zone held the Aposhian Garage to one field goal in the first half and three in the second. St. Paul's registered their first win of the year with a 26-21 victory over Hawthorne. All five of the St. Paul team scored two field goals a piece. Blackmore and Clarke paced the losers. In the final senior tilt Andrus Livestock remained undefeated with a 24-13 win over Bryan Seniors.
