Discussion will be divided into three phases: (1) Local problems, (2) National implications, im-plications, and (3) International relations. Organizations throughout the state will be represented upon a proportional basis, and any civic, educational, cultural, labor, or business club is entitled to send delegates to the Conference, if due arrangements are made in advance with Dr. Bane at the University Uni-versity of Utah. UTAH AND THE WORLD CRISIS The crisis which America now shares in common with the rest of the nations of the world will undoubtedly have its reverbrations i:i Utah. The economic political, financial, ami agricultural conditions of the world even now begin to change the conditions within the state; the people of Utah must recognize and solvc them intelligently, if a normal balance bal-ance s to be preserved. A forum, under the auspices of the Utah Committee on Leadership Training will be held in the Ncwhouse Hotel in Salt Lake City on February 25th and 26th, to discuss the particular problems of the State with relations re-lations to the nation. More especially, the purpose of the conference will be to teach the technique of group discussion to repre-senatives repre-senatives of civic, labor, and business organizations organi-zations from all parts of the State. 'Our two-fold aim is to draw together the leaders of all organizations throughout the State in order to train them in discussion techniques and to give them the factual background back-ground necessary to them as leaders of current cur-rent thought and current action," explains Dr. Frederic William Ganzert, associate professor pro-fessor of history and political science at the UJniversity of Utah, who is General Chairman Chair-man of the Leadership Training Conference. The conference meetings will be strictly upon a cooperative basis, although the major responsibility rests upon the Extension divisions divi-sions of Utah'sthree universities. Important Conference offices are held by a central committee com-mittee of Dr. Ganzert, Dr. I. O. Horsfall, and |
