Lumber Basketeers Are the Boys to Watch even better than ever before the season gets well under way.Coach Chipman is also fortunate in having Marvin Aston, Calvin Pond John Holt, and Allen Hansen iu his aggregation. These men are all big, fast, versatile, veterans of the floor, all sharp-shooting cagers who would form a blistering blister-ing offensive x which could be counted on to net the team scores scor-es of points under almost any competition. Particular outstanding outstand-ing also was Loren C. Park, adonis adon-is of Sugar House, who played a flawless game at guard, George Bloomfield, who turned in a smooth, polished performance thatwould do credit to any professional pro-fessional and Wendell "Buzz" Ashton' speed merchant from the Sales Room. Others who looked ' good, were Richard Pond, Howard Badger and Marden Roper. With such a wealth of material, mater-ial, it is confidently expected that Coach Chipman, the wily basketball basket-ball wizard, will mould a team this year which will go down in the memoirs of Sugar House as the Wonder Team of 1942. From Southeast Salt Lake comes the word that the Basketeers Baske-teers from Sugar House Lumber and Hardware Company are the boys to watch this year. Led by the inimicable Milton Chipman, Coach and Playing manager, an enthusiastic, star-studded group of hoopsters turned in an initial practice last Wednesday evening such s would tickle the coach of any basketball mantor's heart. Wednesdays nights skirmish revealed that Coach Chipman Lv going to have an extremely difficult dif-ficult time eliminating any of the boys from his first string line-up, The aspirants line up as follows: James Milton Chipman, yesteryear BYU idol and all conference ace.
