Show Buy Defense Bond DIRECTORS MAKE GOOD USE OF ROAD FUND Feeling that the government had more use for the $117 now held as a road sign fund by the Sugar House Chamber of Commerce, Com-merce, than any other way the money could be saved, the secretary secre-tary of the organization was instructed in-structed to purchase a bond and stamps in this amount by the board of directors at a meeting held Thursday evening in the Sugar Su-gar Hous Libraary. This fund was collected two years ago as a special fund and is to be used only when a sign is erected on highway 40. Should it be necessary to erect this sign the bond is terminated, the bond could be cashed and put to immediate im-mediate use. However, the direc-tore direc-tore felt that while the money is secure with the government and is is not likely that need for the sign will arise for several years, the funds are safe and contributed a little bit to the defense needs. The bond, along with other materials ma-terials connected with the special fund will be placed in the Chamber's Cham-ber's safety box at the Sugar House Branch of the First National Nat-ional Bank. |
