Show BOWLING The Southeast Bowling Courts are ready now for the 1941-42 season, with all the alleys resurfaced resur-faced according to A. B. C. rules. Hugo Ensign, the new league manager announces a complete schedule of leagues for the season, seas-on, although there are still a Tew openings for teams or individual players. The first league to begin will be the Sugar House Major league which starts play on Monday, September 8. The South Side league is scheduled on Tuesday, the South East on Wednesday, the Sugar House league on Thursday, Thurs-day, and the Lumbermen's league on Friday. The U. S. Smelting league has been increased to 8 teams and will bowl the second shift on Tuesday Tues-day nights, while Birrell Bottling Company teams roll at 9:15 on Thursday. The ladies' have been busy and have two leagues ready to start. Mrs. W. H. Young is president of the Forest league which bowl-es bowl-es on Tuesday mornings and Mrs. Rulon Davis is head of the Cardinal Card-inal Ladies on Friday nights. Mrs. Roy Garton has been active in the organization of the leagues, and many new bowlers will appear ap-pear among the ladies this seas on. Mr. H. J. Arnold is retiring for a year fom active work at the Southeast, and he and Mrs. Arnold Ar-nold are spending a few weeks in California. Stanley Butts will be working during the day in Mr. Arnold's place. |
