Show Coastguardsmen's Wives Keep House in Pacific til fy;Jm & Mil-" w sjtilr ! 1 I-;- fj fJ 'Vr,,f4 - On the Farallon Islands, 32 miles from the coast of San Francisco, five wives of coastguardsmen keep house for their husbands. Their only means of transportation to the mainland is the weekly trip of the lighthouse light-house service ship. Left: Warrant Radio Electrician George B.
