Show SOUTHEAST BOWLINC NEWS In the Southside league last week Bingham Merchants took 3 points from Barnett and Weiss to go ahead in their see-saw battle for first place. Coon Chicken Inn had 2872 for high series and and Camera Centre had a hot 1044 high game. Clair Randall rolled a hot 667 individual series and George Abplanalp had a 254 game in a G32 total while J. Abplanalp Ab-planalp followed with a 630. Frank Zaccaria had 619 for the third 'i0 for the Bingham team, and oth"1 high series were: FranK Baker, 605; John Birrell, 601; afa Baker, 606; Bill Knighton, 613; Bill Ward, 605; John Biirell, 601; and Kelley, 629. - Clair Randall was rolling high again in the Southeast league when he had a 632 and Pepsi-Cola had a 942 high game. Bill Dykes' series was 602 with a pretty 268 high game, and Jimmy's Cafe had 2670 for high team series. High individual scores in the ladies' Recreation league last last week were Beth Wallron's 449 series and 177 game. Her team No. 5, had 1489 for high series and 554 high game. Mountain Fuel Supply is now leading the Lumbermen's league but Utah Pigeon . got into stride last week and rolled a record 1022 game in a 2860 series, with Hallen topped having a 611 individual in-dividual series. John Hoffer topped top-ped Hallen when he smashed the( pins for a 255 game in a 630 series for Auto Supply. The Southeast Courts 2267 ser- ies and 774 game featured the scoring in the Cardinal ladies league last Friday. Ruth Young had a nice 506 series, and Gladys Temple started her game with a high 204. The. womens tournament got off to good start last week-end when the Optical Shop team did some outstanding bowling for a scratch series of 2558, -ncluding a 918 game. Ellen Barney posted a 567 series, and Rena jCowley had a hot 582. The Temple Alleys team was second with a 2456 scratch series, but Cross Corset Shop was second with handicap. Buelah Page is now high in the singles division with 466, and Beth Waldron and Doris Lloyd lead the doubles with 818. |
