"MQjLiiMiM This 'Saturday, May 23, at 7:30 P.M. the stock cars will be running again on the Fair-ground's racetrack. About 40 cars will be present. The above photos were taken last Saturday afternoon while some of the drivers were getting ac-customed to the track again and trying out some of the changes made in the cars during the winter. Mark Drazich will be driving No. 22 with a new V8 Ford motor and a beautiful paint job. Don i Winter, with his tow cars spon-sored by F. G. Ferre and Son looked mighty sharp atthetryouts. "Pappy" Gates has made some changes in his Buick powered No. 2 and has some surprises in mind. Mel Andrus and his nearly un-beatable 100 will be on hand and it appears that the other dri-vers are going to make it just a little more tough for him to win this year.
