Show Service Men News Giessen, Germany--Army PFC Jerry L. Bawden, 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. Levi L. Bawden, 412 S. 12th East, Salt Lke City, is a member of the 92nd Artillery which recently acted as host for the three day V Corps LeClerc small arms marksmanship matches in Germany. Ger-many. Bawden, a surveyor in the artillery's art-illery's Battery B in Giessen, entered ent-ered the Army in May 1958, completed com-pleted basic training at Fort Ord, Calif., and arrived in Europe last October. He is a 1954 graduate of East High School and was employed by Lang Co. before entering the Army. His wife, Marlene is with him in Germany. Heilbrown, GermaynArmy Pvt. Fredrick J. Montoya, son of Mr. and Mrs. Antonio N. Montoya, 662 Green St., Salt Lake City, was a member of the team which placed first in the egg throwing event during recent activities in Germany celebrating the birthday of the 4th Armored Division's 54th Infantry. Montoya, a rifleman in the infantry's in-fantry's Company C in Heilbronn, entered the Army last October, received basic training at Fort Hood, Texas., and arrived in Europe Eur-ope last may. The 20-year-old soldier is a 1957 graduate of a Salt Lake High School. SEOUL (AHTNC) Army Lt. Col. Tracy J. Hardman, 44, whose wife, Faye, and parents, Mr. and Mrs. James C. Hardman, live at 546 Leland Ave., Salt Lake City, recently arrived in Korea and is now a member of the Korean Military Advisory Group in Seoul. ColoneJ Hardman entered the Army in 1941. A graduate of Granite High School, the colonel was graduated from the University of Utah in 1940 |
