McEvilly, Francis B. Jackman, Gale Kresser, Ken Hansen, and Bob Apple. These men have the combined firefighting experience of 47 years between them. A visit to one of our South East fire stations resulted in a renewed faith in our firemen, but a somewhat revealing lack of adequate protection as to the number of fire trucks available for the area. The accompanying picture is not the regular truck for the station for it is usually equipped with a Seagraves 1000 gallon per minute pumper and an auxiliary Ford truck for grass and minor fires. The large truck carries 1700 feet of hose and 200 gallons in a booster tank. The auxiliary truck carries 400 feet of booster hose and 200 " gallons of water and 500 gallons per minute pump |
