Show S. H. Service Clubs KIWANIS CLUB Kegular meeting of the Sugar House Kiwanis Club , was held on Tuesday, June 2, at Harmon's Cafe. Richard Keddington, program pro-gram chairman, arranged for Miss Elon Mangelson of Sanpete County to attend the luncheon as an honored guest. Miss Mangelson is the "Dairy Princess" of Utah and will compete in Phoenix, Ariz, in November finals for the National Dariy Princess. As the month of June is National Dairy Month, Merrill N. Warnick of Pleasant Grove was the speaker for the meeting. Mr. Warnick has received national awards and public honors in the dairy field. LIONS CLUB Regular meeting of the Sugar House Lions Club was held at Wright's Restaurant at 7:00 p.m. on June 1st. Mountain States Telephone Tele-phone and Telegraph Co. furnished a safe driving film and musical numbers by Tessie Jones and La-Verne La-Verne Jeffs were enjoyed. June 22nd, Lions and their Ladies will hold Installation Parties Par-ties at the Ambassador Club at 7:30 p.m. Cedar City will be host to the State Convention on June 11, 12, and 13. BUSINESS and PROFESSIONAL WOMEN Sugar House Business and Professional Pro-fessional Women will hold their monthly meeting on June 10th at the Hot Shoppes at 7:00 p.m. Installation In-stallation of new officers for 1959-60 1959-60 and discussion and voting on new , amended by laws will occupy the business meeting. Club officers in charge are f Louisa Topham, president; Mary Louise Gilmer, vice president; Ruth Winder, recording secretary; Melba Redd, treasurer; and Emma Miller, corresponding secretary. BPW report a very successful convention at Orem in May and an invigorating experience at the State convention in Minott, N.D. by Ada Burt as a national guest. |
