Show ings, beginning April 24th. The Easter services were conducted by the Rev. John Stuart Thornton of Holladay, assisted by some of the Deacons, and the Youth Choir, under the direction of Paul Christensen, provided music. Services wereheldattheEdgemont Elementary School, about 9800 South and Tenth East, on Easter morning. Mevi Church formed An Easter Worship Service marked the beginning of a new Community Church in Sandy, founded under the auspices of the United Church of Christ (Congregational). Dr. Sidney Buck-ham, Buck-ham, superintendent of the Inter-mountain Inter-mountain Convention of Congregational Churches, tells us that a site for the church has been selected at 98thSouth and 13th East, and that a parsonage will soon be purchased in White City by the Board of Home Missions of the Congregational Chris t i a n Churches. A search for a Minister is now being made. This will be a Community Church, with members of various denominations participating, and everyone is welcome. The Holladay ' Community Church is assisting is this venture, and one of its officers, Robert Boyle, a Sandy resident, is in charge of organizing weekly meet- |
