Our teachers are Mrs. Elmo S. Colton, Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Taylor, and' Mrs. Utley. We had our last practice at Mrs. Colton's house and afterwards we had punch and cookies and the punch ran out before our thirst did. The sunset tonight is just beautiful. The trees are silhou-ettes in black with a background of a cream colored sky and wispy lavender clouds. But in Hi There I "Hickory, Dickory, Dock", thats one of the songs that Valley View Stake's Youth Chorus is practicing. Some of the other songs that we are going to make into masterpieces are: "Hi-Li- li Hi-Lo- ", "True Love", "This Is My Country",, "Shenandoah", and Voice of Freedom". It's fun to see the kids sitting there and trying to do their homework and sing at th tame time. It'i also fun to keep your ear opa and hear what all the kids mj on report card day after thyT got their grades. We hrd one girl say "I get a dol-lar for erery "A", another said "Oh, my mother will jfet mur-der me", and then there' al-tr- aji the moaners and groaners moaning because they got a "C" or a now get this an "A". All la all it's a pretty exciting day to take a trip to all those NICE? teachers. It itarts out: - step awing, step wing, lunge right, lunge left, one, two, three point, one two, three point. We had fun practic-ing for the Valley View Stake Gold and Green Ball which was held Feb. 6th t the U. of U. Union Building. The Crusade for Freedom, as the campaign is known, will be conducted during the month of February for funds to. support the year-aroun- d operations of " Radio Free Europe. With a network of 29 power-ful transmitters, Radio Free Europe beams the truth from the free world to the 70,000,000 nslaved peoples of Poland, Csechoslovakia, Hungary, Ro-mania and Bulgaria. Voluntary contributions of "truth dollars" from the Amer-ican people in response to the annual appeal of the Crusade for Freedom makes possible the continuation of these broadcasts. To focus public attention on this vital anti-Commun- ist pro-gram, Governor George D. Clyde, honorary slate chairman of the Crusade, has designated the month of February as Freedom onth In Utah.
