Elaine Drake's music and Dance Studios opened in Sugar House two weeks ago and will hold open house, Friday, June 14. The new Sugar House studio is located at 2349 Highland Drive in the former Howard McKean home.' the lovely old home has been newly decorated and a large addition built on the back to provide a large and elaborate dancing studio, which will be feature instruction by the well-kno- wn Ralph Cannon, of the Dance Center, and his staff. He will conduct all types of dancing instruction including bal-let tap toe, acrobatic and mod-ern He has had many years of experience from coast to coast, in vaudeville, theater music Hall in New York and also has a studio in Bountiful. The studio is equipped with large modern dressing rooms and spacious reception room which adds a home like atmosphere. Elaine Drake's music studios include piano and organ rooms. She has been with the Glen Bros. Music company for several years and opened the new studio, which will feature the teaching of Ham-mond Organ and Piano under the direction of her and her assistant, Janice Nicodemus. The new studio answers the life -- long dreams of Elaine's and it houses Glen Bros., Hammond organ and pianos as a part of their expansion program to celeBrate their 50th anniver-sary. Enrollment in the new music and dance salon is going on and Miss Drake offers a course to beginners, intermediate and ad-vanced students. The public is invited to .attend the open house. Sorensen, Karl B. Hale, Ned Winder, and Ward McCarty, who will all be present at the meet-ing. In charge will be K. Grant Hale and John Haslam. Talks will be given by the national officers and following the election of officers the group will be shown through the museum. Birkelands will catere the din-ner. Joy F. Haven Ward Claude E. Middleton is the new bishop of the Haven LDS Ward, 2280-3r- d East St. Mr. Middleton, the former ward first counselor, succeeds Bishop William T. South, recently sus-tained second counselor in the South Salt Lake Stake Presidency. James A. Davidson, the former second counselor, has become first counselor and the new second counselor is Robert Hillier. New clerks are O. Richard Smith and LeRoy Irish. |
