Show Adventist Delegates Travel To Reno By Doris Duncan Delegates from the Salt Lake City Seventh-Day Adventist Church traveled to Reno, Nevada this week to attend the Nevada-Utah Nevada-Utah Constituency Meetings which began Tuesday evening and continued con-tinued through Wednesday of this week. Those traveling from Salt Lake City were: Pastor and Mrs. J. B. Currier, Elder and Mrs. H. C. Glenn, Mrs. Teola Nelson, Mrs. Goldie Swing, and Mrs. Emma Trapp. Church officials for the coming two years were elected and reports of work progress during the past two years was discussed with future plans being outlined. Churches sending representatives representa-tives from Utah included the Provo, Ogden, Price, Moab, Mil-ford, Mil-ford, and Liberty Park and Central Salt Lake Seventh-Day Adventist groups. President C. L. Bower of the Pacific Union Conference presided over the sessions, bringing with him 'from Central California representatives repre-sentatives and Church Officials to counsel with the Nevada-Utah delegates. It was reported that for the year, on a world basis, more than $1,000,000 in cash, some 5,000,000 srticles of clothing and 2,000,000 food contributions were given in the welfare program, conservatively conserva-tively valued at $23,708,912. Nearly 60 per cent of this aid was given in North America. |
