Show Donated Clothing Taken to American Fork Culminating a concentrated clothing clo-thing drive of the past few weeks, six members of the Ladies Auxiliary Aux-iliary of the Fraternal Order ol Eagles, Aerie 67 took a trailer load of donated clothing to the American Fork Training School at American Fork, on the after noon of November 27. After delivering the clothing the ladies were escorted aboul the school by Mr. Storrs, assist ant superintendent of the school He carefully explained the func tions of the school and told of the various types of mentally retard ed children that they are equippec to care for and what advantages they are able to offer the children child-ren in the way of education and medical care. Those ladies who went on this most .interesting and educational trip were Mrs. Merlene Loveridge, chairman of the Charity Committee; Commit-tee; Mrs. Norma Eason, editor of the "Spirit of 67," the Ladies Auxiliary Bulletin; Mrs. Pearl Houston, chairman of the Investigating Investi-gating Committee; Mrs. Viola Lives, Madam Inside Guard and Mrs. Ruth Headrick. After a conducted tour of the grounds, the ladies returned to view some of the very fine work done by the children and to meet Dr. Verne Houston, Superintendent Superinten-dent of the school. Mr. and Mrs. Lew Headrick, 2640 East 4800 South were the guests on Thanksgiving Day of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dale, 1531 W. Southgate. The two couples, accompanied by Miss Joyce Dale, motored to Brigham City and dined at the lovely Tropical Cafe. Returning, they . dropped in at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Wal-lace Cost, 1045 Pierpont, and enjoyed en-joyed an evening of cards. Mrs. Cost served turkey and pumpkin pie to complete an exceptionally enjoyable day. |
