Show Church Marks First Anniversary Sunday, October 5, members mem-bers of the Cottonwood Presbyterian Presby-terian Ccurch will -celebrate the the first anniversary of their official organization in the Presbytery of Utah. Special anniversary services, Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m., will be highlighted by participation in World Wide Communion and the acceptance of new members into the congregation. Construction of their permanent perma-nent church home on 6.8 acr.es of land at 15S0 Vine St. (6100 So.) is already underway, according ac-cording to the Rev, R. David Steele, pastor of the Cottonwood Cotton-wood Church. Occupancy of the first unit is expected in late November. The initial building build-ing will include a combination Worship and fellowship hall, church office, choir room, kitchen, and Christian Education Edu-cation area. Architect for the project is David Haines, of the firm of Haines and Pur-honen. Pur-honen. ' The Cottonwood Presbyterian Church, meeting temporarily at the Cottonwood Lions' Club building, 5695 Highland Dr., offers a complete community church program. Sunday School for all ages, Sunday morning worship services, Westminster fellowships groups for junior and Senior High youth, two Women's Circles, Mariner's Club for young couples, Cub Scouts, Indian Guides, and Bible study groups are a part of the church program. |
