(Low-Calori- e) 3 ounces cream cheese teaspoon salt 1 cup skim milk 1 1 -- lb. can water-pac- k 3 eggs applesauce 1 tablespoon Sucaryl solution 1 tablespoon lemon juice y cup flour 1 tablespoon cinnamon Combine cream cheese, milk and eggs in electric blender. Blend well for 30 seconds or until smooth. Add Sucaryl and blend a few seconds longer. Combine flour and salt; add to mixture, blending for 20 seconds. Combine applesauce, lemon juice and cinnamon, mixing well. Pour batter over applesauce, folding just enough to mix. Pour into a 9-in- ch round cake pan which has been well greased. Bake in a moderate oven (375 F.) 35 minutes. Let cool before serv-ing. If desired, garnish with a light sprinkling of chopped nuts. Makes 8 servings. Each serving contains 128 CALORIES; 5 grams protein; 6 grams fat; 13.5 grams carbohydrate. If made with sugar, each serving would contain 176 CALORIES. Mar. garet, lives at 21 B Street, recently completed a four week guided missle course at the San Francisco Air Defense School, Fort Scott, California. The course trained qualified personnel for assignments in air defense units and served as refresher training for already skilled specialists. Corporal Patterson entered the Army in 1943 and has since been awarded the Com-bat Infantryman Badge. Capt Joseph L. Hatch, whose wife, Annettet lives at 1751 Herbert Avenue, recently com-pleted a military orientation course for medical service officers at Brooke Army Med-ical Center, Fort Sam Housten, Texas. Captain Hatch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd F. Hatch, 1363 Butler ave., is a 1947 graduate of Temple University School of Medicine. He is a member of Kappa Sigma Phi, Phi Beta - Pi, Phi Eta Sigma and Kappa Kappa Psi fraternities. Armp Pvt. Edwin Hill, 23, whose wife Clintonia, lives at 1566 Logan ave., recently ar-rived in Germany and is now a member of the 34th Infantry. A machine gunner in the Infantry's Company B. Hill, entered the Army last March. He completed basic training at Fort Carson, Colo. Hill, son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Hill, Teton Valley, IHahoi is a 1952 graduate of JTeton' High School in Driggs. A 1956 graduate of Idaho State College in Pocatello, he was employed by , the Gardiner Machine Company in Salt Lake City before entering the Army. Army Pvt. Siegfried F. Voigtzaender, son of Mrs. Ida Voigtzaender, 1258 Emerson ave., recently completed eight weeks of basic combat train-ing at Fort Carson, Colorado. The 18 year old soldier was graduated from East High School in 1958. Pvt. Maxine Rose, 23, daugh-ter of Mrs. Minerva Colemere, 675 Milton Avenue, recently completed eight weeks of basic military training at the Woman's Army Corps Center Fort McClellan, Alabama. Private Rose received drill and physical fitness training and instruction in Army his-tory, traditions and career fields. She was graduated from Sail Juan High School, Blanding, in 1951 and was employed by Dun and Bradstreet Inc. in civilian life. Her father, Emery R. Hunt, lives in Monticello. Highland Stake Schedules Dances Once again Highland Stake announces its annual ' dance schedule. This dance club has been so successful in years past will open the season on Fri. Oct. 17. Priesthood quorums throughout the stake will sponsor the dances which will continue monthly through next , March. Season tickets which will in-clude all five of these out-standing dances may be bought at a cost of $7.00. All who are interested should contact any preisthood officer in the stake. R. Ure( captain of the group. Return From Coast Vacation Mr. and Mrs. Byron Paulson have just returned from an exciting two weeks vacation. They spent one week seeing the sights of San Francisco and enjoying two fine plays there Also highlighting their trip was a visit with Mrs. Paulson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred D. Kammerman, formerly of Salt Lake City and who now live in Flagstaff, Arizona. A sister Mrs. Robert E. Lambert was also with the family in Flag-staff prior to her joining her husband, Captain Lambert of the U.S.A.F. in Izmir, Turkey. Horman's Entertain House Guests The Sidney M. Horman family is enjoying a visit with Mrs. Horman's sister, Mrs. John Cope Jr. and her daughter, . Susan. Mrs. Cope has been living in Georgetown British Guina while her husband has been working, for the state department there. Mr. Cope, U. S. Consul to British Guina, will join, his family here in Salt Lake City where they will visit with the Hormans until late December. Susan is attending the Evergreen Jr. High School. . Demo. Women Plan Fall Sessions The Women's Democratic Club, Central Division' will hold its first business meeting for the Fall season. The meet-ing was held on Wednesdayt October 15th, at 2 o'clock p.m! in the Twentieth Century Room of .the Newhouse Hotel. Dr. Truman Driggs, Professor of History at Westminster College, was the guest speaker. His topic was "Integration". David Kingt a candidate for Congress, and Frank E. Moss, a candidate for the U. S. Senate . also spoke. Most candidates and their wives were in attendance, according to Mrs. Charles R. Kramer, President. Celebrated Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Dean Barney celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary Monday evening with a delightful dinner at Wright's on Wasatch Blvd. Ned Baker Promoted D. Ned Baker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil H. Baker, 1170 Milton Avet was promoted to the rank of Corporal in the U. S. Marine Corp. Within a day or so he will leave for Japan where he will serve for a year. Ned has been in the Marines for two and a half years and has spent one year of it on Okinawa. Kent Rasband Transferred Kent Rasband was recently transferred from Columbus, Ohio, to Cook Air Force Base in California. The Cook Base is being activated as a launching base for the "Atlas" inter, continental ballistics missle. Kent is taking 22 weeks of schooling there and expects to spend the balance of his enlistment time at Cook AFB in practical training of launch-ing the missle. Kent is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Irving K. Rasband of 1264 Stratford Avenue.
