Castleton Surgeon Heads Campaign For Medical Center Dr. Kenneth B. Castleton, prominent Salt Lake City physician and surgeon, will serve as Chairman of the Medical Division of the Univer-sity of Utah Medical Center Campaign. This was made public Monday by Leland B. Flint, Campaign Chairman. "An Associate Clinical Prof-fess-or of Surgery at the Medical School and a past president of the Utah State Medical Association, Dr. Castle-ton has been a staunch sup, porter of the University of Utah College of Medicine for many years and we feel for-tunate in securing his volunteer services," Mr. Flint said in making his announcement. "I am greatful for the op-portunity to help the College of Medicine obtain its needed Medical Center and I pledge my wholehearted support to this, end," Dr. Castleton said. "The College of Medicine is second to none in the nation and I feel that physicians in the area have a moral responsi-bility to make sure this position is not surrendered. We need the Medical. Center and I feel confident physicians through-out the nation will help us achieve this goal," he said. An active participant dn medical and civic affairs Dr. Castleton is Utah Representa-tive to the House of Delegates of the American Medical As-sociation, a ' member of the ; Salt Lake County Medical Society, American College of Surgeons, American Board of Surgery, the Salt Lake Surgical Society and Western Surgical Association. He is a member of Salt Lake Rotary, Alta Club and Salt Lake Country Club. Dr. Castleton received his A.B. Degree from the Univer-sity of Utah in 1923( his M.D. from the University of Pen-nsylvania in 1927, and his Ph.D. in Surgery from the University of Minnesota in 1933.
