CHARON First Security Bank Executive Named To New Position Three First Security Banks of Utah, N.A. executives have been elevated to new positions in the bank's Salt Lake division, Harold J. Steele, senior vice president in charge of the division, announced Tuesday. Charles H. Greenwood, who has boon acting manager of First Security's Murray office, has been promoted to assistant vice president presi-dent in the Timeway department at the Main and Fourth South street office. Leonard II. Jacob, who joined the bank's trust department last yo'ir, has been elected assistant 'r :-t officer at the Main and First : ..ulh street office. TIr'.rr.UI D. Charon, who has been r 'jr: manager of Timeway at :i '.n ind First South street, has - n nimed manager of the Murray Mur-ray office. Mr. Greenwood joined First i: :---v.rity in 1947 at the Sugar I; use office, where he served as .neral bookkeeper, paying and receiving teller and general utility e'erk. A native of Sandy, he r.nd Mrs. Greenwood reside with their three children at 399 North 200 East street in Sandy. Mr. Jacob joined First Security's Securi-ty's trust department at the Fourth South and Main street office of-fice last year. He previously was a practicing attorney in Twin Falls, Idaho. Born in Deshler, Nebraska, he earned his LLB degree de-gree af University of Nebraska in Lincoln. He has taken special spe-cial courses at University of Utah, and has been active in the American Institute of Banking. He was assistant prosecuting attorney of Twin Falls county, and is a member of the Idaho and Nebraska state bar associations. With Mrs. Jacob and their two daughters and son, he resides at 1238 Lake street. Mr. Charon began his banking bank-ing career in 1941 as a messenger at First Security Trust Company, later the Exchange Place office of First Security Bank. He was successively promoted to bookkeeper, book-keeper, teller, head bookkeeper, head of proof department, and commerical note teller. He later joined First Security's Timeway department, and in 1956 he became be-came acting manager of Time-way Time-way at First Security's Main at - First South street office. He and Mrs. Charon reside at 2237 Vi-mont Vi-mont Avenue. |
