Naffziger announced that the library will continue reg-ular hours through the summer as follows: Monday through Fri-day hours will be from 1 to 6 p.m. in the Juvenile department, from 1 to 8:45 p.m. in the adult depart-ment. Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. YWCA Garden Party Sets Oriental Theme An Oriental theme will prevail at the garden party planned by the Young Women's Christian Assn. to be held at 2 p.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. T. Tay-lor, 603 East 5600 South. Mrs. Henry Kasai will be in charge of the affair. Japanese flower arrangements will be used in the table decorations. A group of small Japanese-America- n girls with costumes will do a series of dances to Japanese recordings. Mrs. Rex Nilson, chairman of membership committee and Mrs. Allison B. Annual Dance Revue Presents Dance Fantasy-Ballet-Jaz- z Talented young dancers partici-pating in the first annual Bobbie Bybee Dance Revue will take the spot light Friday evening on the stage of the Butler School. Talented Mrs. Bybee will present her students in colorful costumes including dancers: Jackie Mem-mot- t, Kathy Fredrickson, Marilyn Rholfing, Lynn Judy, June Ad-ams, Terry Tredway, Francesca Wood and Carolyn Cowley. They will visit at the home of her sister and brother-in-la- w, Mr. and Mrs. Newell Nelson, 2151 So. 8th East for a month. - Mr. Odhne is with a prominent paper company in Sweden. June Brides Driggs - Gresseth Rites Miss Marian Driggs, well-know- n University of Utah student, be-came the bride of Dr. Gerald K. Gresseth, 1451 South 9th East, in nuptial vows solemnized Wednes-day, June 12 in Sun Valley, Idaho. The new Mrs. Gresseth is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith H. Driggs, 1311 Shannon ave., and the benedict is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl O. Gresseth of Lomita, California. The bride is a junior at the University majoring in fine arts. She is a member of the Phi Beta Phi sorority. Dr. Oresseth is a graduate of Reed College, Portland, Ore., and received his Ph. D. from the Uni-versity of California at Berkely. He is currently with the modern language department at the uni-versity. : Jamberi Club Entertains At Summer Formal Members and guests will gather Sat. evening to greet new offi-cers of the club. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas B. Welch will serve as and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph C. Lards will serve as Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Jenison are permanent directors of the club. Boy and girl silhouettes dressed in formal attire under rose bow-er- a will form the centerpieces for the tables., Mr. and Mrs. George Hofman are in charge of decora-tions. A friendship hour will begin the evening events at 7:30 p.m. Din-ner will be served at 8:30 with dancing to follow. David Richards Leaves As Exchange Student David Richards, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Richards of Holladay, is leaving for Mexico City as an exchange student this summer. Since he is studying Spanish in school, this is to be quite an exciting experience for him, and a chance to improve his Spanish as well, in a way that school just can't teach. He will be living with a family as part of the family, and this winter, their son will come up here to live with the Richards family. David has just been graduated from the Evergreen School. In addition to wishing David Bon Voyage, perhaps it would be well to say in addition, "Vaya Con Dios." Taylor-Barne- y : A wedding to be solemnized in the LDS Temple is that of Miss Sheryl Taylor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Royal Taylor, and Kline Porter Barney Jr. Lieutenant USMC, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kline Porter Barney. The two will re-cite marriage vows Friday with President John B. Hawkes officia-ting. A reception will be held for the newlyweds following the cere-mony at Manor Heights, 2001 N. Main St. Tot Theater Arts To Open At Westminster A summer study course in Cre-ative Theater Arts for young people 6 to 18 years old will start June 25 at Westminster College. Specially designed for young-sters, the course will be directed by Jay W. Lees, chairman of the Westminster speech department. Instructors in addition to Mr. Lees will be Marilyn Barker Ed-wards and Paricia Packard Lees. Classes will be held Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The combined recreational-education- al activity . will feature creative drama, oral interpretat-ion, stage crafts, acting and theater production. It will run for six weeks. Climax will come at the end of the six weeks when , the students will present a play in Dane Han-sen Memorial Stadium on the Westminster campus. |
