Show Utah Woman Publishes Book Mrs. Lue Jones of Enterprise, Enter-prise, Utah who wrote her first novel when she was in the seventh grade, has signed a contract with Exposition Tress of New York for publication of her second , "Ann comes into Her Own." Between the two novels (the first was kept by her grammar school teacher), the author was too harnessed with responsibilities responsi-bilities to do much writing. Married at seventeen, she had six children and, after divorcing her husband( reared them alone. She is now remarried, and at forty eight, has thirteen grandchildren. "I know what it is to rough it in all weather conditions," she said, "and to fight life to keep alive. I know what it is to swing an ax or bag a deer, to raise sheep and drive a tractor." Once, Mrs. Jones had a job making bullets. Now she has hit the bull's eye with her novel. It is a story of the north woods; of some people who seek and find peace thert and of Ann, lovable creature of the forest also is a "character," as it works its spell of divine healing. |
