Show Highland High P-TA Officers Outline Program The Highland High PTA Adult Education committee announced today its program for six weekly meetings Thursday, Feb. 7 at 7:45 p.m. at the Highland High School. The lectures by community leaders will enable parents to improve in their ability to understand and evaluate the occupational interests and aptitudes of their children; to counsel with their children more effectively, and help their children to select and prepare for a vocation voca-tion "in line with" their capabilities capabil-ities and interests, said Theresa and Legrande Magleby of 2152 E. A film will be shown, too. Recent contributions of psychology psycho-logy applied to understanding children's chil-dren's behavior will be taken up Feb. 28 by Dr. Cecil O. Samuelson of the University of Utah. March 7 will consider training and vocational voca-tional opportunities in the skilled trades with Mr. Jay L. Nelson, president of Salt Lake Area Vocational Vo-cational school, in charge; colored slides will be shown. The final meeting of the series will consider which children should attend college col-lege with the speaker to be an-, an-, nounced. |
