Show INDEPENDENT Sugar House, Utah Thursday March 13th, 1958 Page 7 ( Life With Lynne Hi! When Mom and Dad told us three girls we would have to take over the responsibilities of cooking, cleaning etc. for a few days, I felt pretty bad, but when they left the car and the car keys I felt much better. Mom and Dad went to St. George, with Jack and Leona Hoggan and really it up while they were there for. a Square Dance Jamboree. My brothers and sisters and I were pretty happy when Mom and Dad got home, because we practically lived on hamburger. It seemed that when we had that heavenly spring weather (now look at it) everyone got the traveling bug. Mom and Dad found out they were staying at the same hotel with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Riley of Riley's Shoe Store on Highland Drive who were on their way to Las Vegas with Mr. and Mrs. Heard. There were about 36 couples from Salt Iake at the Square Dance Jamboree. I wish I could have seen the fashion show of all the beautiful dresses and shirts' that were hand-mad- e out of beautiful materials. My Dad was pretty excited, because the girl who was" elected Sweetheart of the Jamboree asked him for his phone' number. They've got us all pepped up to go back down there and see Snow Canyon the place where they make a lot of moving pictures. Valley View Stake had their Rose Prom and it was really out of this world! The theme was "Out of Space". There was blue and turquoise crepe from the paper hanging ceiling, -- planets made out of silver paper, and the cutest decoration in the midst of it "Mutnick", the satellite with all - it was supposed to be a little stuffed dog in It. The Granite High Drill Team marched at the intermission, and they also had an all girl's dance. Our Jr. Gleaner Comradery was real special. We think we have the most glamorous and beautiful teacher! Her name is Mrs. Arlene Jones. Sarah Soderborg and her mother, Mrs. Ruth Soderborg", gave two of the lovliest talks, Bonnie Baker who has just come back from California where she has lived for a year, sang two songs accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Claire Baker, and yours truly 'Taderwiski" Lynne played "Deep Purple" on the piano. Just thought I'd let you in on a secret. One of my teen-age dreams has came true -- we just got a new Hi-F- i!
