Show I East Mill Creek Plans Event East Mill Creek Plans for the 4th of July Children's Parade and Carnival are being arranged by the Lions Club here this week, according to publicity chairman, Harvey Penney. The parade and carnival are annual affairs here and in past I years have attracted ten to I twenty thousand people from I all over the valley, j The celebration will start at 1 sunrise with the salute to the I Flag at 5:45 am. From 6 a.m. j to 9 a.m., Aunt Jemina, in 1 person, will serve pan cakes. I i The pan cakes, coffee and sausage sau-sage are served for 50 cents a serving. The children's parade will start at East Mill Creek Chapel and proceed down Evergreen Ave. to East Mill Creek Park. Most of the floats will be made by the boys and girls taking part in the parade. It will start at 9 a.m. The carnival will follow the parade. Howell Lee Cannon is general chairman of the celebration, assisted by members of the East Mill Creek Lions Club. |
