botel later on a meeting was held in the room of P r al M simpson educational supervisor of swift company who was to hoad head the tour this meeting was eveld on sunday march 15 at 7 on monday morning mornin ig our party which was made up of agriculture representatives from twenty one states went to the chicago stockyards stock yards where we observed the inside workings of 0 the beet beef and lamb business from the office of paul S smith vice P resident president of swift and company we w were ere allowed to listen in on oil mr smiths conversation over the telephone with company branch house operators and buyers in other cities along the mississippi river and the atlantic seaboard it was a rare privilege ge indeed to sit in the office of the brains of the entire business and see and hear
