I. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Utah Transit Tran-sit Authority in the UTA Meadowbrook facility Board Room, 3600 South 700 West, Salt Lake City, Utah, on the 27th day of July, 1982, at the hour of 4:00 p.m. for the purpose pur-pose of considering an application applica-tion for Federal financial assistance under Section 5 of the Urban Mass Transportation Transporta-tion Act of 1964, as amended, for a project which is generally described as follows: A. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT UMTA Section 5 Capital Assistance Project 1. The project will include in-clude the purchase of 12 full size diesel transit coaches and the purchase of miscellaneous miscel-laneous related equipment including fareboxes, and radio equipment. 2. Thirty percent of the equipment in this project will be used by UTA in the Ogden urbanized area of Weber and North Davis County. The rest of the equipment will be used within the UTA service area of Salt Lake, Davis nd Weber Counties. 3. The estimated total cost of this project is $2,151,543. The Federal share requested is $1,721,234. The local share of $430,309 will be provided by UTA from sales revenues re-venues as authorized by statute under the Utah Local Loc-al Option Sales Tax-Public Transit Allocation Act of 1974 and subsequently approved by referendum in Salt Lake, Davis and Weber We-ber Counties. B. RELOCATION No persons, families or businesses will be displaced due to the activities to be completed com-pleted as a part of this project. C. ENVIRONMENT The proposed project will not have any significant environmental en-vironmental impact upon the Utah Transit Authority service ser-vice area. The 0"erall effect will benefit the UTA and the region by increasing the efficiency effi-ciency of the public transportation transpor-tation system. Environmental Impact Analysis of the project has been prepared and is included in-cluded in the UTA's grant application. ap-plication. D. COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING This project is in conformance conform-ance with the comprehensive land use and transportation planning in the area and will be submitted to the Wasatch Front Regional Council, the designated Metropolitan Planning Plan-ning Organization (MPO) for the region, in conformance with the A-95 review requirements. require-ments. ELDERLY AND HANDICAPPED The actions of this project will not adversely affect the elderly or handicapped. UTA maintains a policy of reduced fares for elderly and handicapped handicap-ped persons. II.
