Show BUICK OAR CAR STOLEN AT GLENWOOD SPRINGS FOUND IN VERNAL thursday night adam erickson night marshal ot of vernal was notified by leland workman son ot of mr and mrs john workman that there was an abandoned buick car one mile south ot of the joseph A mckee corner on the victory highway mr erickson and marshal H A miller made an investigation and found the car which had been abandoned after being run for 60 50 miles or more on a flat tire friday morning sheriff L richardson and mr miller went out and secured the car on fridays mall mail circulars were received at both offices from the sheriff at glenwood springs stating such a car was missing and giving a meager description of oe the supposed thieves mr miller immediately notified them the car had been abandoned here sunday the owner H C williams an engineer ot of grand junction colo came in and got the car mr wil ilams hams stated he had gone to glenwood to take baths there for a severe attack ot of rheumatism and was accompanied by his wife and son arriving at the baths about 9 p m they parked their car and the boy had taken a spare tire to the garage for repairs about 16 15 minutes after tho the car had been parked it la Is reported a man and woman were seen to enter the car and drive away but nothing was thought of the incident by the observer as she supposed they were the same as had driven up a few moments before mr williams reports that about 50 worth ot of accessories were gone besides the damage done to the car A A strange man and woman were related as having been in roosevelt thursday but as no descriptions 0 of the parties taking the car were given no further clues have yet been obtained vernal express |
