Show OTTO MAYHEW LAID TO REST WITH FULL MILITARY HONORS from duchesne correspondent otto mayhew who recently died of the ravaging effects ot of the flu at moffat was laid to rest in the utahn cemetery thursday afternoon after very impressive funeral services mr air mayhew was well known and liked around duchesne and vicinity he having lived here for several years ile he moved here from wayne county in 1909 and has lived here since that time until about two years ago when he be moved to gusher ills his death was a shock to all of his many friends and acquaintances he served in the late world war and was a member of the american les n legion the members of the Ame american legion were out strong at the funeral services the duchesne post of the american legion conducted the ceremonies in military fashion the speakers who were john P madsen supt bupt J F P hoyt and bishop J al all spoke of the high qualities of character of the deceased the music consisted of three mixed and a male quartette the teachers work Is done the entire com community munty join in sympathizing with the bereaved family those who are feeling the greatest loss are a widow who was formerly miss aliss lizzle lizzie white daughter of mr and mrs levi C white of Duc duchesne besue ruth a daughter aged 7 howard a son 4 and pont font the baby 1 mr air mayhew at the time of his death was about 28 years of ago a go |
