Show daggett uintah counties boondry again questioned DOUBTS LEGALITY OP THE LINE UPON BY commissioners AND SUGGESTS A A BOUNDARY FOR legislature TO DEFINE in the controversy between daggett and uintah counties over the boundary line supposed to have been settled state engineer lloyd garrison suggests in a letter to the uintah county commissioners under date of 0 august that the wording to the boundary read as follows De beginning ginning at the point where the he meridian of west longitude intersects the summit of 0 the I 1 uintah mountains thence easterly along said summit to the summit bet between aaen francis creek and little I 1 brush creek thence along the summit between francis creek on the north and little brush creek diamond pot creek kettle creek and gorge canyon on the south and east to a point ou on the north line I 1 ot of twp tap 1 N thence along said line to the NW corner ot of twp tap I 1 N R 23 E S L B bf thence east 9 miles south 5 miles east 2 miles south 7 miles east 2 miles south 1 Vs miles east 4 miles to the colorado state title line mr garrison also brings up the question of the legality of the a agreement gre ement ito by bv the two counties probable that the only power which can fix the boundary between the two counties I 1 iq the state stale legislature the question arose with tho the state land commissioner and the forest service relative to the boundary line lice mr bir garrison has taken his description from the map issued by the forest service of the ashley national forest he suggests the oard board of commissioners of each county approve this description and then the matter can be taken up with the legislature and the boundary line correctly defined |
