| Show FAK FARM M BUREAU DIRECTORS A meeting of odthe the directors of 0 the utah diate state farni farm bureau was held at logan on august 3 1921 there was a good representation from various co counties unites and some important business was transacted the meeting was called to order by pros pres D D mckay after which mr air N L peterson chairman of 0 the seed committee made a report of the work that had been done by that committee and asked tor for the approval of 0 the contract which had been drawn up and which Is to be submitted to the seed growers of the state after thorough discussion the matter was approved with some few changes A resolution was passed to the effect that in the future the name of the utah state farm bureau cannot be used only with the approval of the executive committee in order to keep in closer touch with the various activities of the organization a resolution was passed asking all committees to make reports monthly to the executive corn com showing the progress of the aw work 0 rk R C pollock of the american faun farm bureau told of the activities of oher states in farm bureau work and described briefly the methods used in carrying on membership campaigns administration of farm bureau funds such as budgeting and general organization work it was decided that the tea fee for tho the coming year would be for the state and national all the memberships will be on the oasis of three years A committee ot of three consisting of pres D D akay david ill deal beal and H E beck was appointed to have charge of the membership campaign it was recommended that an expert encee man be procured to manage the drive the plans are to start la boat out the first ot of october working two or three counties at a time until tho the entire state Is completed A committee consisting ot of H E Berg bergenson erison geo holt and jas all kirkham kirk ham was appointed to make a study of 0 the constitution and rl om mend changes to be considered by the directors at their next meeting pach ach county is asked to send in any te commendations it may have to the state secretary A committee consisting of L L bunnell and frederick crook was appointed to call upon bank commissioner and present the views of the directors asking for credit for agriculture equal to those extended to other industries ii plans materially mater materi lalle alle there will be a state farm bureau day at the stale fair this tall fall |
