Show APPROVE UTAH PLAN salt lake the cooperative plan employed by the alfalfa seed growers in ill marketing their crops will be used rs Cs a model by the growers in idaho this year according to a decision cached at a two day conference of farm bureau representatives in boise last week dean P F peterson sales manager ina nager of the seed marketing department part ment of 0 the utah state stata farm bureau accepted an invitation to attend the conference and outlined the utah plan in addition to alfalfa seed the conference considered nearly a score ut of other farm commodities with a view to arriving at some borne definite program for cooperative marketing it was recommended to the executive committee ot of the idaho state farm bureau that the question of local units be left to the growers in the various localities statewide associations ciati ons to be considered later the executive committee will consider tile the recommendations ot of the various commodity committees and submit a definite recommendation later at the annual meeting of the farm bureau the conference committee which considered the alfalfa seed situation according to mr air peterson recommended definitely that th eUtah plan be followed in organizing local or county mark marketing eting units mr peterson told the idaho growers that the average price realized by the utah growers for the better grades of seeds ranged from 10 to 12 cents net or three to four cents more than would have been realized had bad it not been for the association |
