Show ina I 1 RY y mary midy hoi LADY BUGS LECTURE dear little lady bugs bather bround me said lady bug I 1 ug tor for I 1 am going to give ive a lecture it will be a 11 tree free lecture and pray lady bugs do not think that on that account it will be poor too many folks biks have the idea that nothing Is good that lafree Is tree 4 oh ob I 1 ts its very wrong they dont b other bother to find out how many nice things are free and they dont gather around stop to think me about them take birds and their concerts quite tree free and lovely wild flowers quite free and the woods and takes lakes and r rivers and P ponds ands practically all of them tree free and many free concerts and oh so many things that if I 1 go on talking about them I 1 will never have time for my lecture so I 1 win will begin ray my lecture it all the lady bugs bugg are ready and if the lady bug who has charge of this hall for I 1 must s t call ta this 1 P place 1 a c e w where b er e I 1 am le lecturing c fuus caitha S n g a hall 1 1 w will i 1 1 k kindly in dl y b bring r n me an acorn filled with water I 1 will be much obil obliged ged lecturers should always ha have ve such things by them and oh yes a light and a pointer to point to my maps and my pictures but on second thoughts they wont be necessary for I 1 have no maps and no pictures well then are we all ready A little lady bug came hurrying up with the acorn filled with water and said in a low tone if f you want any more ill bring it in to you thanks said the lady bug who was about to lecture now friends she began mrs airs president lady chairman I 1 greet you there was no mrs president and no lady chairman but that make any difre difference rence 1 I have something very fine to tell you something very fine upon a subject which strikes close to the heart of all of us lady bug the lecturer placed one of her legs in the direction of her heart and looked very fine indeed doing so in a moment or two she went on 1 I have heard and it Is quite true that we have all been paid a very great compliment we have been paid one of the greatest of compliments it lias has been both expensive and a bit difficult to get to europe of late especially has it been too expensive and I 1 dont believe any of the lady bugs bogs have enough money in the lady bugs bank to use that to go to eu rope its a fine bank and it Is nice to go to a bank where ladles ladies are especially looked after and all of that but we avent li enough money in the bank dear me no not nearly enough however those of our family who have been chosen to go asked how much money they had at all they even asked if they had any money they erent even asked if they would pay tor for their laundry and their own food they were opre just invited to go and were told old that the work they would do would be enough thanks for the op rilly they were having to travel yes sald said lady bug many man many y many lady bugs have been shipped to france to destroy bad insects which having a great time with we can do the work they had to call on us to do it now that an honor to think that lady bugs usually not thought so much of have been shipped quite tree free of any f charge to the lady bugs themselves to a foreign country of course im not sure whether the lady bugs can talk french or not dot but they can work anyway and make the whole lady bug world proud of them but I 1 think it hurrying up would be interesting it if we all studied a little french so that we ue would be able to say how bow do you do and good goodby by and pleased to meet you in frenell french to in case were called upon next and my lecture Is not only free it Is quite quite true all ali sold said all the lady bugs when they had finished cheering the speaker we will all baudy a little french and ile be ready ali ah what an honor for the inda bugs of this land and G gorgeous said lady bug the lecturer |
