Show letter from a soldier france oct 11 1918 dear brothers and Sib just a line to let you know that I 1 am well and hope you are the same we dont have it very nice some time in france but e stand IX you should see some of the towns jn france there is not a thing left of some of them and we have some pretty hard times with some of them but we have got them going back now so fast they do not know way to go to get out of our way ail ana I 1 hope it will lie be over by spring so we can come home and see you all again I 1 would not give two cents tor for my life sometimes in the field they got me in the arm but it is better by this time and ready to go again so you see I 1 am not afraid of 0 them it is suro sure a fight that is all I 1 can tell you about it at this time low ilow I are you getting along and how low did your wheat turn out I 1 would sure like to have been home to help you all this summer tills Is all for tills this time your brother CLARENCE BETTS co C A E F |
