| Show A BIG MASS MEETING A big mass meeting was vas held at the amusement hall wednesday evening in pursuance to a c call ill from the city council the taxpayers of the city were well represented the meeting was called to order and ed F harmston was selected as chairman and C L ashton secretary the purpose of the meeting was for the roosevelt waterworks Water works co to render a statement as to the actual cost of the present waterworks Water works system mr collett read the statement and after thoroughly discussing it it was finally decided to take over the system at 50 cents on the dollar at its actual cost this was done in order that the voter could vote int intelligently ellige nt at the election to be held next friday december 31 when wap n we will vote for or against the prop position to bond the city of roosevelt in the sum of and purchase the roosevelt waterworks Water works cos system at 50 cents on the dollar we have been informed that it w would be advisable to vote no mo on the waterworks water works bonding election for the sim simple pie reason it will save the city a matter of between and ibsan its an item worth considering in a few weeks we can hold another election and if it carries the bonds can be soad at par vote no and save the taxpayers some money |
