Show SPEAKS AT CHURCH Rev. Don G. McDougall, of the Presbyterian S. S. Mission and Mobile Ministries, conducted conduct-ed services Sunday at the Myton My-ton Presbyterian church. Special Spe-cial music was presented by Miss Geraldine Richardson and Mrs. O. A. Dart. A large congregation con-gregation included several members mem-bers from Duchesne. Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Walker, of Portland, former residents of Myton, were greeting old friends one day last week. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carlo's Clark from Wednesday till Friday were Mr. and Mrs. Marion Valarida and two sons, of Sandy, Oregon, who were enroute to Nebraska to visit other members of their family. Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Morris, former Myton residents, now living in Durango, Colo., spent a day last week to visit their many old friends and view the sishts of their earlv vnnth Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ging-ell enjoyed a recent visit from Mrs. Gingell's daughters, Mrs. Fanny Jolley and Miss Lois Davis, who came from Salt Lake City. Myton members attending the fall convention of District No. 9, American Legion and Auxiliary Aux-iliary at Vernal, Sunday were: Dist. Com. and Mrs. Calvin Monks, Post Com. and Mrs. Lynn Dean, Unit Pres. Fanny Felter, Paul Felter, Mr, and Mrs. H. C. Cooper, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Tolboe, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Harris, Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Lott, Mrs. Lena Lisonbee, Lison-bee, Mrs. Alice Brummett, Mrs. Lavar Peterson, Mrs. Denzel Hemphill, David Felter and Blaine Brokaw. Miss Alice Todd and Mrs. George Moeller returned Wednesday Wed-nesday night from a week's vacation, va-cation, visiting friends and enjoying en-joying the scenery at Twin Falls, Idaho. Mrs. Moeller remained re-mained here til Friday evening, when she left for her home in Alta Dena. Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Kearney, of Portland, Ore., were visitors last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Burton. They left Wednesday for Midvale, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Burton and spent a few days visiting Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Biltz and family. fam-ily. Mike Quintana returned Sunday Sun-day from Portland, where he had been called by the illness and death of his brother, Frank Quintana. Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish enjoyed a visit Sunday from Mr. and Mrs. Monte Young, of San Simeon, Calif. Mr. Young is a former resident of the Uintah Uin-tah Basin, having hade his home in Duchesne for several years. They were on a vacation trip and visited the Dinosaur Monument Monu-ment near Jensen as they went through the Basin and renewed acquaintances with some of their old friends. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd are their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Magley, who arrived Sunday evening- from Scott Air Field, 111. A recent bride and groom, they are serving ser-ving in the U. S. Air Force and are now on a two weeks furlough. fur-lough. Mrs. Magley is the former for-mer Nancy Todd. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Judd were greeting old friends Monday. They are former Myton residents resi-dents now living in the uranium uran-ium district of southeastern Utah. Miss Shirley Harmon and Norman Tanner, both students at the USAC at Logan, were home for the weekend to visit their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Harmon and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tanner. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Uresk went to' Price, Sunday, to bring home Mr. Uresk's mother, Mrs. Uresk, Sr., who has been receiving re-ceiving medical attention and visiting at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Wm. Gorishek during the past week. Mrs. Uresk is now improving and convalescing at their ranch home. Ed Yack. of Roosevelt, was a Myton business visitor Monday. Mon-day. Mrs. Orson Olsen, of Eph-raim, Eph-raim, has been a visitor at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Linck and Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Mortensen, Sr. during the past week. She is a sister of Mrs. Linck and Mr. Mortensen. Weekend visitors at the Linck and Mortensen homes were Mr. and Mrs. Levi Mortensen, Mor-tensen, of Salt Lake City. |
