Show Mt. Emmons Deane Case Bryant adParker Gomm, ? cl?.nts J11 U.S.A.C.. are spending spend-ing the holidays with their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben C Gomm. Dee L Holder and small son, Craig ot Salt Lake City, visited two days last week with Dee's parents. Mr. and Mrs. J. Edgar Holder. Eva Dean Crosby, employed J5 Sa" Lake, was home for the Christmas weekend. The Mt. Emmons ward M-Men and Gleaners celebrated the Christmas season Thursday night with a party at the chapel. The holiday theme was carried out with candles, miniature Santa San-ta scenes and mistletoe. Fried chicken, hot rolls and other delicacies, del-icacies, arranged on tastefully decorated tables, were served buffet style. Fifty M-Men. Gleaners and their guests, danced, following the program and supper. During the evening, Santa appeared with gifts of candy and nuts. Mrs. Mary C. Snyder, first grade teacher, slipped on her kitchen floor Friday morning and fractured her left arm. She was taken to Roosevelt for medical med-ical care. Later in' the day she left for Salt Lake, to spend Christmas with her daughter and son-in-law, Maxine and Arnold Ar-nold Mecham. A Christmas party, under the auspices of the Primary association, associa-tion, was given Saturday evening eve-ning at the ward hall. In spite of bad weather and drifted roads, nearly every family in the ward brought their children to participate in the program. A surprise feature was the appearance ap-pearance of a Santa that none of the children recognized. Mrs. Johnny Lambert, an officer in the Primary, persuaded her father, M. J. Benson, of Ioka, to play the part. He distributed gifts to the youngsters, and delighted de-lighted the audience by singing sing-ing "White Christmas." Mr. and Mrs. Ma- Hartman and children, of Duchesne, spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Chester H. Hartman. Their children chil-dren enjoyed the Primary party, par-ty, Saturday evening. Bishop and Mrs. Willard B. Mecham entertained at a family fam-ily dinner Christmas day. Guests included Mrs. Ina Mecham and , daughter, Jean; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. R. Evans and children; I Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Crosby and i Eva Dean and Earl Crosby. Christmas dinner guests of Mr and Mrs. Leland Stevenson were Mr. and Mrsr Thomas Richards and baby, of Mtn. Home, and Alton and Anna Lee Thacker. of Draper. Mrs. Stella Webb, of Ogden, and Lynn Case, of Salt Lake City, were Christmas dinner euests of their parents. Mr. and Mrs. F. Earl Case. Another guest was M,r. Case's mother, Mrs. Marv A. Case. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie J. Orr, Dick and Colleen motored to Vernal Saturday afternoon to spend Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Karl Allen. ' Holiday visitors at the Gordon Gor-don Case home were Mr. and Mrs. Alma Carlile. of Woodland, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Spriggs and children, of Coalville. Mr and Mrs. Neil Murray, of Myton. and Mr. and Mrs. 'John Richards and children 'were guests. Christmas day. of I Mr. and Mrs. George Rogers. |
