Show Notice Off Oil & Gas Mining Lease Sale UNDER SEALED BID. 2:00 P. M. SEPTEMBER 25. 1952 ( Sealed bids will be received at the Uintah and Ouray Agency Fort Duchesne, Utah, until 2:00 p. m., September 25, 1952. for an OU and Gas mining lease on the following described parcel of individually allotted restricted Indian land located within the Jurisdiction of the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation, in Uintah Uin-tah County State of Utah, which land is within the Salt Lake Base and Meridian Survey, and contains 42.72 acres, more or l6SS" Allottee and No Description John McCook, 445. This unit is offered for lease, for a cash ibonus in addition to 'the stipulated royalties and rental of $1.25 per acre per annum. an-num. The successful and responsible respon-sible bidder will be required to pay in advance an annual rental rent-al of $1-25 per acre, the cost of advertising and a filing fee of $5 00 for the lease contract con-summated. con-summated. In addition to the filing fee of $5.00, an additional fee of 15c per acre will be charged as a processing cost ot making the lease and clerical service attendant thereto. Tne successful bidder will be required re-quired to deposit such fees before be-fore the lease is drawn. A deposit de-posit of 20 per cent of the bonus bid and 20 per cent of the advance ad-vance rental for the first year must accompany the bid and be in the form of a certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent sol-vent bank, payable to the Treasurer Trea-surer of the United States. Conditional or alternate bids will not be accepted and no drilling propositions will be considered con-sidered as a part of the bonus offer. The sale will be held and the lease executed in accordance with the Act of March 3. 19C9 (35 Stat. 781, 783) and C.F.R.. Title 25-Indians, Part 189 as amended or supplemented. Lease Form 5-154h will be used. I The land is offered subject ' to the execution of the lease by the adult individual Indian owners own-ers The right is reserved by the Commissioner to reject any or all bids and to disapprove a lease made on the accepted bid ' Should any bid be rejected after af-ter a deposit is made, through no fault of the bidder, all moneys mon-eys deposited shall be returned. Failure of the successful bidder bid-der to comply with the terms of the sale and the regulations, will render his deposit liable to forfeiture for-feiture in . the discretion of the Commissioner of Indian Affairs. If the Lease is not completed within the required length of time, it well be subject to revaluation re-valuation of bonus and the sale may be cancelled and deposits forfeited unless for good ana sufficient reason an extension of the filing period is granted. The successful bidder will be required requir-ed to secure the signatures of all Indian owners. The lease must be completed and returned, to gether with all supporting pa pers, and the remaining sums due and owing, within 30 days from date of mailing to lessee for execution. An additional period per-iod of time will be granted foi good and sufficient reason upon request made prior to the expiration ex-piration of the original 30-day ! period. The Superintendent re-1 serves the right, as a condition ! precedent to the granting of any extended period of time for filing a lease, to require the deposit of any remaining sums due and owing on the lease, including in-cluding the balance of the bonus ! bid and the first year's rental. The lessee must furnish a satisfactory sa-tisfactory surety bond as required re-quired by the regulations All bids must be marked on the outside of the envelope.
