Show fteoia Zola Spencer Farewell Party Honors Couple A farewell party was held in the Neola ward chapel last Saturday Sat-urday night in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Jensen, who are leaving leav-ing soon for Hawaii to fill a mission. mis-sion. A program was given as follows: Grandson, Stanley Wardle sang, "May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You.";, their son, Neill, gave a talk; Salley Oberhansley and Francis Ann Coltharp, who were dressed in grass skirts sang and danced; Sharon Keel played the .accordion; Mona Allred, a piano selection; Lazelle Henrie gave the closing song;, and remarks re-marks were also given by the missionaries. Tuesday night the special' interest in-terest class and their leader, Del-ma Del-ma Bastian, went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Jensen and gave them a surprise party. Scott Edrington showed some slides that he took while on a mission. Delma payed a tribute to Ruth and Lionel Jensen, and refreshments refresh-ments were served. ATTEND WEDDING ' Mr. and Mrs. Lorin A. Mills went to Salt 'Lake City to attend the wedding of their son, Wayna, and his bride, Betty Ann Wall-burg, Wall-burg, last Saturday1. Wayne's brother, broth-er, Claire, was best man, and Betty's sister was bridesmaid. Following the wedding a reception was held. Deanne Asay Eldredge, who had an operation recently, is improving. improv-ing. She and her husband will be leaving soon for St. George where he plans on going to college. She will work in the office. Mrs. Berl Bell and two small sons of Vernal were weekend visitors vis-itors at the home of her mother, Mrs. Royal. Horrocks. Royal has been spending some time at Vernal with his father, John Horrocks, Hor-rocks, who is ill. Dennis 'Larsen, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Larsen, and a grandson of Royal Horrocks fell off a tarctor and broke his arm. Garth Horrocks of Meeker is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Royal Horrocks. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gibson and small daughter of Tooele have been with Mrs. Patra Olsen, Mrs. Gibson's mother, for a few days. Seth Asay came in from Salt Lake City where he has been employed by the Utah Sand & Gravel Co. He spent three days home and then returned to his job. Mr. and Mrs. Dellis Spencer and three sons and Errol Whiting and Geraldine Powell and Patricia An made a two-day trip to Salt Salt Lake City recently. Mr. and Mrs. Spencer took care of some business and the children spent some time at Liberty Park and Lagoon. Warden Olsen and Miss Neysha Qrover of Boise, Idaho, and Warden's son, Ken, weer weekend visitors at the home of Warden's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Olsen. Eulala Harrison, a daughter from Salt Lake City, was also with the family. Mr. and Mrs. Don Fieldsted have moved into the home of Woodrow Wilkerson and plan on spending the winter in Neola. |
