Show TWO BIRTHS REPORTED Just two births were reported from the Roosevelt Hospital during dur-ing the past week. They were: Aug. 28 Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Sowsonicut, Whiterocks, girl. Aug. 29 Mr. and Mrs. Julian I Reed, Roosevelt Route, girl. Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Bellon and family moved last weekend into the brick home which they re- cently purchased from Mrs. Joseph Shanks., Mr. and Mrs. Norman Long and daughters, Jana and Sheryl, returned re-turned last Sunday from a ten-day vacation trip to Seattle, where they visited her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton B. James. Highlight of their trip was the salmon fishing expedition they enjoyed en-joyed while there, reporting a lot of luck. Gordon Eldredge and Golden Heed left Tuesday for St. George, where they will attend Dixie Jr. College. Gordon attended the BYU at Provo last year, and this is Goldens first year. REUNION AT YELLOWSTONE Mr. and Mrs. George Pulos returned re-turned Tuesday after spending nearly a week at Yellowstone National Park. They met all their children and families there for a reunion. Attending from Salt Lake City were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Robb, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Pulos and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Boyer. From Rangely, Colorado, were Mr. and Mrs. Norval Massey, and from Coulee Dam, Washington, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Walker. They report a wonderful time. iVisittfrs in Duchesne County Tuesday were Mr. and Mr. Walter T.. Williams, who attended the teachers institute here. The Williams Wil-liams report that they are residing resid-ing in Kaysville and seem to like it very much. Mrs. Williams is serving as a supervisor in Davis County, and Mr. Williams will, be employed on the faculty staff at the high school. Arthur Smith of Gusher, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Farrell Wil-kins Wil-kins made a business trip to Salt Lake City last Thursday. Mr. Wilkins is now at home after spending several days in Salt Lake City for medical treatment. treat-ment. Sporting a new black and white Ford are Mr. and Mrs. Leon Ross. Local merchants attending Market Mar-ket Week in Salt Lake City last weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Buchanan from Christensen's, and Mr. and Mrs. Morrell Labrum and Miss Leota Pitt from Grace's Dress Shop. Visitors at the Paul Stringham residence Sunday were Major and Mrs. Clayton Findley, formerly of Alaska, who were enroute to Alabama, Ala-bama, where Major Clayton will be stationed. Mr. Marion Smith of Los Angeles, Ang-eles, brother of Mrs. Farrell. Wilkins, Wil-kins, and Mrs. Lucille Snyder, a cousin of Rent), Nevada, visited last Friday and Saturday at the Wilkins home. They also enjoyed visiting at the Arthur Smith home in Gusher. Mr. and Mrs. Kay McKinlay and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Stevenson returned Sunday night after spending spend-ing four days in Las Vegas. Rejoicing over the arrival of a new daughter are Mr. and Mrs. Dean Frandsen. The little Miss made entrance into the world Wednesday, Aug.. 24, at the Roosevelt Roos-evelt Hospital, tipping the scales at 7 lbs., 5 oz. She and her mother returned home Monday to be greeted by proud father and two other children, Allan and Jolene. Elated grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas R. Todd, Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Vernal Frandsen, Roosevelt. Mrs. Gordon Harmston and Mrs. Paul G. Stringham and their daughters spent last Friday in Salt Lake City. Cheryl Mohlman, of Elko, Nev., enjoyed a week's visit with Kay Labrum. Carol Lynn Cook returned last Friday after spending a week in Elko, Nev. with a friend, Marilee Mohlman. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Boren, of Bingham, and a granddaughter, Teena Boren, were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs., Bill Edwards. Enjoying the past week in Roosevelt were Mr. and Mrs. Reed Wiscombe, of Provo. They spent several days at the Eldredge El-dredge cabin in Uinta Canyon. |
