Show Mrs. Ethel Beebe Attend Music Festival Of Stake A large number of people from Altonah attended the Music Mu-sic Festival under the direction of the stake M.I.A. at Mt. Emmons, Em-mons, Saturday night, May 9th. Those from Altonah taking part were ladies chorus, composed of Mrs. Verna Allred, Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Reay, Mrs. Norma Jessen, Mrs. Beth Jessen and Mrs. La-wana La-wana Timothy, with- Mrs. Edith Hansen, of Mt. Emmons, accompanist; accom-panist; violin solo, Mrs. Helen Palm, and a solo by Mrs. Norma Jessen. Sherral Ames accompanied accom-panied the soloist. Max Gardner and Elmer Yergensen, of Roosevelt, were in Altonah on business, Friday. Mrs. Warren Foote and son, Arnold, and two children, of Salt Lake City, brought Mrs. Mary Bowden home Saturday. Mrs. Bowden spent the past two weeks with her daughters, Mrs. Foote and Mrs. Lee Anderson, in Salt Lake City. Ted Snyder, of Tooele, and Lloyd Snyder, of Salt Lake City, spent Mother's Day with their mother, Mrs. Elva Snyder. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Betruk, of Salt Lake City, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Kone, Sunday. Mrs. Betruk and Mr. Kone are sister and brother. Mr. Kone accompanied them as far as Salt Lake on his way to San Diego, where he will be employed. Pfc. Max Stevenson arrived home May 9 for a 15-day furlough fur-lough with his wife and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Stevenson, Steven-son, of Mt. Home. He just completed com-pleted his basic training at Camp Roberts, Calif. Chris Kovros, of Price, a former for-mer resident of Altonah, called on friends. He was recently released re-leased from the service and spent some time in Korea. Mrs. Wm. Ralphs returned home Saturday, May 9th from a week's visit with her daughters, Mrs. Wayne Powell and Mrs. Bud Johnson in Lehi. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Maxfield and family motored to Provo, Sunday to spend Mother's Day with their son, Perry, who is a student at B.Y.U. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Heath, of Provo, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Glen Burgess. Mrs. Heath is a sister to Mr. Burgess and they I are former resident of Altonah I |
