Show FJeola City News Section Dairy Meeting Held Last) Wednesday, March 14, two dairy meetings were, held in the Neola chapel under the direction di-rection of County Agent Marden Mar-den Broadbent. Mr. Peterson from the US AC presented many valuable ideas to the men in attendance, through his illustrated illus-trated lecture. Ward Reunion Held The Neola Relief society celebrated cele-brated its birthday anniversary by having a ward reunion last Saturday, March 17. A children's dance was held from 3 to 5 o'clock, followed by refreshments. refresh-ments. In the evening a plate supper was served from 7 to 9 o'clock in the Relief society rooms. A long table extended the full length and was tastefully taste-fully decorated with potted plants and St. Patrick's symbols. A short program was presented as follows: Address of welcome, Bishop Rex Gardner; reading, Elva El-va Allred; song, Helen Wis-combe; Wis-combe; town gossip, Deone Spencer Spen-cer and Delma Bastain; vocal trio, Patsy, Karen and Diane; reading, Leah Gale Duncan; tap dance, LeRene and Cleo; piano solo, Maxine Gardner; trumpet solo, Neil Jensen. The remainder remaind-er of the evening was spent in dancing. Many old time residents were in attendance, and enjoyed a visit with their friends. YWMIA Presents Program Sunday afternoon, March 18th the Neola YWMIA presented the following program: presentation presen-tation of theme, Velma Burton; talks on the theme by Dorothy Peterson, Marilyn Oberhansly, Janice Spencer, Virginia Gardner; Gard-ner; appreciation of the MIA, Zella Gardner. Rulon Smithson left last week for Salt Lake City, where he joined the Navy. Mrs. Ned Shoell and two sons returned home last week after visiting for some time in Orem with her father nad mother in law. Mrs. Thurman Peterson returned re-turned home last Sunday from the Roosevelt hospital with her new daughter. Mrs. Phyllis Wardle and" sons returned home last week from Provo, where they have been guests of Mr. and Mrs. Allie Wardle. Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Pectol of Provo spent a few days visiting here with Mrs. Pectol's parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Prescott. |
