Their daughters, Mrs. Dave Carroll Car-roll and Mrs. Glade Timothy and daughter, Carol accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Berrett as far as Salt Lake on their way to Lead-ville, Lead-ville, Colorado, to visit their sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Johnny Guinon. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ralphs announced the arrival of a baby boy, Thursday, June 21 at the Roosevelt hospital. Lyman Burdick of Bluebell and county commissioner Floyd Case of Mt. Emmons were in town on business Monday. Lorn (Tuff) Reay of Altonah and Mrs. Pearl Slaven of Idaho were married in Vernal June 27th. The young couple are planning plan-ning on making their home in Altonah at present. Tuff is employed em-ployed at the Calder's creamery. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Beebe and daughters, Mrs. Nina Boswell made a trip to Salt' Lake City and Castle Dale to visit and on their return home Mrs. Beebe's mother, Mrs. Ellen Madsen will accompany them after spending a few weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Margaret Cox in Castle Dale. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden and family went to Salt Lake City Monday where Mr. Bowden will receive medical care. Mrs. Jack Allred accompanied by Mrs. Belva Fieldsted and Mrs. Jenny Blazzard of Mt. Home were shopping in Roosevelt Friday. Fri-day. Dorothy Brotherson of Boneta was a guest of Fae Barton Thursday Thurs-day night. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Allred met their daughter in law, Mrs. Max Allred in Duchesne Sunday. She came from California to visit them and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfonzo Madsen of Boneta. Mrs. Jesse A. Fowler and Mrs. Doris Christensen spent a week in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Mohlman returned home Thursday after spending the winter in Logan. A few people from here attended at-tended Yellowstone Fish and Game club Jamboree up at the CCC Camp on Yellowstone Saturday Sat-urday night. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence DeHa-ven DeHa-ven of Duchesne and Mr. and Mrs. El Behunin and family of Ogden were week end visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Coral Mair. Tony Fiemetis of Helper, a former resident of Altonah were in town Friday. Mr. and Mrs. George Carroll were transacting business in Vernal Ver-nal Saturday. Donna Farnsworth, who has been in the Roosevelt hospital for the past three weeks was brought home Friday. Mrs. Hans Jacobson is in Salt Lake City receiving medical treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Chidester of Sunnyside were over night guests of Mrs. Elsie Chidester Friday night. Mrs. Dallas Ames, Mrs. Wil-ford Wil-ford Shiner and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Allred were shopping in Roosevelt Saturday. Word was received Saturday morning of the death of Mrs. Lionel Merrich Fridav of Sunnv- side. Mrs. Merrich is the daughter daugh-ter of Mrs. Elsie Chidester of Altonah Al-tonah and lived here for many years. About three years ago they moved to Sunnyside. Mrs. Chidester and a sister, Esther Allred left Friday for Sunnyside. |
