Show Triple-A Resumes Operations With Restored Budget Conservation activities by Duchesne Du-chesne county farmers under the 1947 Agricultural Conservation Program (ACP) have been resumed re-sumed according to Chairman William O. Larsen, of the County Coun-ty Agricultural Conservation Committee. Uncertainty over the amount of funds available for use this vear necessitated suspension of the program for a period of several sev-eral weeks. This situation has now-been clarified and ACP activities ac-tivities have been resumed, he stated. Surveys are now being made by county offices throughout the country to determine the amount of work done under the program during the first five months of this year, Mr. Larsen stated. This will give some indication of the extent of funds available for practices during the remaining remain-ing five months of 1947. In the main, Duchesne county farmers can go ahead on the basis of a full payment program, the committee com-mittee announced. Chairman Larsen pointed out that one of the biggest problems farmers face in resumption of practices will be in obtaining phosphates and other materials, and in obtaining the services of contractors to construct stock-water stock-water dams, land leveling and other activities requiring dirt moving equipment. |
