Show Neola Ruth B. Jensen A. W. Farnsworth, of Salt Lake City, was a visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ncphi Smithson last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fuel, of Park City, announce the arrival of a baby boy, born March 29. The Fuels were former residents of Neola. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Bastian were in Ogdcn, Saturday, on business. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Labrum, of Roosevelt, were Sunday visitors visi-tors here. Mr. and Mrs. Drew Curry attended at-tended the funeral services at Whiterocks for La June Mart on Sunday. 1 Marion Harrison left for Cali-; fornia, Friday, where he intends to spend a week transacting bus-1 iness. The Community Club held a birthday party for some of its members, Friday night. Those present spent the time playing games and in group singing. Delicious De-licious refreshments were served. Lyman Wall, brother of Viola Smithson, and son, Elbert, of i Phoenix, Arizona, were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Smithson, last Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Max Gardner and Maxinc and Marjorie Gardner Gard-ner went to Heber last Wednesday. Wednes-day. Lionel Jensen spent the latter part of the week in Salt Lake. Leland Peterson made a business busi-ness trip to Salt Lake last Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Edward Yack has returned from California, where he has spent several months. Miss Bernice Palfrcyman visited vis-ited at Neola last Friday. Pvt. Eldon Winn arrived home Friday to spend a furlough, before be-fore being sent to Germany to be in the Occupation forces. Word was received of the marriage of Olive Park and Vernon Ver-non C. Neilson, of Provo, April 2. Mrs. Neilson was formerly a school teacher at Neola. J Mrs. Jean Labrum and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Roberts and son, Richard, visited Sunday with Mrs. LaVina Roberts. . j A meetingt of the Daughters of Pioneers was held at Mrs. Ruth Jensen's Sunday evening, March 30, Mrs. Lillian Wilkerson Wilker-son was co-hostess. There . was eighteen members present and an interesting program was presented, pre-sented, which included a history of Orrin Gardner's father, an early settler of Payson. Mrs. Jennie Woodward, who came to the Basin early in 1906, related some of her very interesting experiences. ex-periences. Emma Obcrhansley gave the lesson, "The Diary of Eliza Barnes Pratt." Delicious refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Tal Wardle and Mr, and Mrs. Da.rrcll Wardle and sons went to Provo, Sunday to help celebrate Mrs.' Wardle's birthday and Mr. and Mrs. War-die's War-die's 39th. wedding anniversary. |
