Show 400 Friends Bid Dilimans Good-bye Ray E. Dillman, newly appointed ap-pointed president of the Western West-ern States Mission, LDS church, will leave for his post Tuesday, accompanied by Mrs. Dillman, who will serve as president of the Relief Society organization within the mission. Approximately 400 well-wishers honored the Dilimans Thursday Thurs-day night, Sept. 6, at a farewell testimonial in the Roosevelt LDS stake tabernacle. Dillman, long prominent in legal and political circles throughout Utah, was a Republican Repub-lican gubernatorial candidate in 1936. He has served in the LDS church as a ward officer and stake president over a 20-year 20-year period. Stake President Hollis G. Hullinger was in charge of the program, which included community com-munity singing led by Clyde L. Johnson; prayer by Leland Angus; Ang-us; readings by Florance Pond and Mrs. Isabell Batty. Vernal; song "Prayer Perfect" by RHS girls chorus; baritone solo by Eddy Pond, and response by Pres. and Mrs. Dillman. Russel Todd, and John H. Smith. Des-eret Des-eret News church section editor. A dance and refreshments followed fol-lowed the program. The beautiful bouquets of roses ros-es conspicuous at the reception were furnished by Mrs. Lynn Orser. |
