Show Funerals SAM HERRON Rev. Charles Ray will conduct funeral services at 2 p. m. Saturday, Sat-urday, April 3, at the Roosevelt Baptist church for Sam Hcrron, formerly of Ft. Duchesne, who died at his residence in Tempe, Arizona, at 3:12 a. m., Friday, March 26. Born in Sweden, Mr.' Herron immigrated to the United States while still a youth. He settled in Vernal where, he engaged in j farming and stock raising before moving to Ft. Duchesne, where he operated the general store for approximately 10 year. He moved to Tempe, Arizona two years ago, where he has been engaged in the mercantile busi- ! ncss. lie is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ruth Curry Ilerron, and the following step-children: Emery Em-ery and Jim Curry, Salt Lake City; Don, Mary and Barbara Curry, Tempe, Arizona; and Harry Curry, Gusher. Burial will be in the Macser cemetery in Vernal, under the direction of the Dillman Funeral Home. JOSEPH HEBER LAMBERT Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Monday, March 29. at 1 p. m. in the Roosevelt Slake chapel for Joseph Heber Lanv bert, 91, who died Marcl? 25 at 7 p. m. at his home of causes incident in-cident to age. Prayer at the home was offered offer-ed by Randall Stewart. Prelude and postlude music was played by Mrs. Hollis Hullinger with the invocation offered by Heber T. Hall. Musical selections included in-cluded quartet numbers sung by the Benson brothers with a vocal solo by Irma Anderton. Speakers Speak-ers were J. Austin Pack. Dan F. Mitchell and Ray E. Dillman. Benediction was pronounced by Harold Eldredge. Burial was in the ' Roosevelt city cemetery, under the direction direc-tion of the Dillman Funeral Home, with Howard M. Ivory dedicating the grave. Pallbearers were Louie Galloway, Gallo-way, Alex Sullivan, Van Fullmer, Full-mer, Ray Labrum, Thomas R. Todd and George Buchanan. MILTON J. BRUMMETT MYTON (Special) Funeral services for Milton J. Brummett, 22, who was accidentally killed Friday, March 26, while working at Range Creek in North Emery county, were conducted Wednesday Wednes-day at 1 p. m. in the Myton ward chapel under the auspicics of the American Legion, Wm. R. Sands Post 5. Colors were advanced by An-tone An-tone Uresk, Calvin Monks, Acel Bingham and George Wedig. Invocation In-vocation was offered by Howard Dennis, after which services were opened by Commander Or-val Or-val Gillen. Vocal solos w.cre sung by Floyd Ross and Mrs. Max Jenson. Bishop Herbert Lang, of Utahn,. and John Blaine were the speakers Benediction was pronounced by Bishop Marion Ross, of Arcadia. Burial was in the Utahn cemetery ceme-tery where military honors were accorded with Elmer Yergenscn, Blaine Brokaw, Arthur Brian, A. C. Talboe, Dan Dennis. Milton Lolt, John Urcsk and Howard Dennis composing the firing squad which was commanded by George Dodge. Ivan Hadden, Leland Le-land Hadden, Orin Wilson. Hans Ivie, Wayne Strong and Russell Paxman were the pallbearers. Taps were sounded by Bill Preecc, Jr. |
