Show School Doings ROOSEVELT HIGH 1 Because of the high price of materials at this time, the Roose-Velt Roose-Velt Year Book Staff has found that Roosevelt's 1947 Annual is going to cost a huge sum of money. If we sold the Annual without raising, any money from the outside,, it would cost the students stu-dents from $5 to $6 each, which is double the cost of prior year:. We have sponsored two dances to raise money, but have hardly raised enough money to pay the orchestras. Almost at our wits' end, we decided to have a quilt made and sell chances on it. The quilt is made of peach and blue satin and is now displayed in J. C. Penny's window. It was quilted alone by Mrs. George Bacon, who gave her time and effort to make this quiit for us. at no charge. Now we are asking the people peo-ple of Roosevelt and surrounding towns to please buy a chance on it. The chances will cost 50c a ticket and can be obtained from any of the following students: Jack Bason, Bonnie Hansen, Virginia Lambert, Marilyn Lambert, Lam-bert, Bob Penfield, Gale Wilson, Ranee Labrum, Mrs. Rhoda Rudy or Miss Wogec, You needn't be present at the drawing to win the quilt. Date of the drawing will be announced announ-ced in the near future. |
