Show . -A Joseph E. Moysh Succumbs After Lingering Illness Joseph E. Moysh, well known Uintah Basin resident and former form-er rural mail carrier, died, Tuesday, Tues-day, March 25, at 12:10 a. m. at the Veterans' hospital, Liver-more, Liver-more, California, of a lingering illness. He entered the hospital in October, 1946, for treatment. Mr. Moysh was born in Gange, Bohemia, October 6, 1890, a son of Edwin and Barbara Moysh. He came to the United States when he was 11 years old to make his home with an uncle at Newark, New Jersey. He came to the Uintah Basin alone when he was 18 years old, .settling first at Gusher, where he worked in the oil field. Later he accepted employment as a rural mail carrier out of Ft. Duchesne, and subsequently was promoted to the rural route out of Roosevelt. He held the Roosevelt Roose-velt run until ill health forced his reircmcnt in 1937. Joseph Moysh married Pearl Dean, of Roosevelt, at Salt Lake City, October 27, 1919, and has resided in Roosevelt since that time. He is a veteran of World War I, and was Post Commander of Basin Post No. 64 of the American Ameri-can Legion in 1930. He held the position of Service Officer in 1931, 1936, 1938, 1942. He was active in Masonic affairs, being a member and past master of Basin Lodge No. 20, F. & A. M. Besides his widow, Mr. Moysh 3s survived by the following children: Mrs. Wanda Campbell, Sacramento. California; Mrs. Barbara Killian, Roosevelt; Joseph Jos-eph P. Moysh, Roosevelt. Four grandchildren also survive him. Funeral services will be held Saturday. March 29, at 1 p. m. in the Roosevelt L.D.S. ward chapel, under the direction of Basin Lodge No. 20, F. & A. M. The American Legion will conduct con-duct the graveside service. Friends may call at the family residence in Roosevelt, until time for the services on Saturday Satur-day afternoon. |
